Building Ofinly

After nearly missing another appointment with my hairdresser I came up with an idea to build something better than the currently available appointment booking systems. Come on, what could be hard in building a system where one entity shares a calendar and a second one signs up for open slots, right?

Well, things go as usual: a task doesn’t seem complicated at the start but the more you dig, the more cases you find… and it gets complicated eventually. Fortunately, it’s not 2015, and we have a whole AI toolset at our disposal, and I use them to empower every process. I mean - not rely on them completely, just use them with a brain.

Two of my friends agreed to work on this with me, so we have a team of: a software engineer (me), a salesperson, and a designer - great combo. We will adapt to booking-apps niche, then improve it entirely - cross fingers we succeed, because at the end of the day we’re all going to have better booking apps.

I will share some private thoughts from the process of building it here. Also, there is more on Ofinly blog if you’re interested.
